ToneGen (tonegeneratorfree.com) is a small, independent project making free audio tools that run entirely in your web browser. It started with one frustration: most online tone generators are cluttered with ads, pop when they start and stop, or hide basic features behind a sign-up. We wanted the opposite — a clean, accurate tone you can play in a second, with nothing to install.

What we build

From that first tone generator the toolkit has grown into a small collection for anyone who works with sound:

• A precise tone generator from 1 Hz to 24 kHz, with four waveforms and a frequency sweep.
• A multi-tone generator for chords, layered tones and binaural beats.
• A noise generator for white, pink and brown noise with a sleep timer.
• A sample-accurate metronome and a tap tempo BPM finder.
• Per-frequency reference pages for popular tones like 440 Hz and 528 Hz.

How it works

Everything is powered by the Web Audio API and synthesised on your own device in real time. There is no backend: nothing you do is uploaded, no account is required, and the tools keep working after the page has loaded. That is also why playback is instant and click-free — every start and stop is a short fade rather than an abrupt on/off.
